Indifference
I am but a splintered boat broken on the rocky shoreline of her indifference
Even after the wooden wreckage strews about me, bobbing up and down, I still look to shore forlorn hope of rescue
But it is not to come, as slowly I sink beneath the waves – for my last look our eyes meet
Was there perhaps a flicker of interest there at my passing?
I am fated not to know
