The Real Estate Philosopher
I am one of the most well-known persons in the real estate industry and considered a thought leader. I really don’t like the phrase ‘thought leader”, as people should think for themselves, but I am recognized as such in the real estate community through my writings as The Real Estate Philosopher, which reaches close to 50,000 real estate professionals nationwide.
Unlike newsletters and mainstream publications, The Real Estate Philosopher solely consists of my thoughts and also thoughts of friends and colleagues.
It is not published in any traditional media – it goes only to friends of my law firm. The purpose is very simple – to put forth thoughts in the real estate world that are different, provocative, and challenging of accepted wisdom. Hopefully, nothing said will ever be considered mainstream thinking.
I have found that I have an unusual place in the real estate world. As the Chairman of Adler & Stachenfeld, which is one of the largest real estate law practices in NYC and known as The Pure Play in Real Estate Law, I interact with an incredible number of real estate players. This ranges from small real estate shops with nothing but a gleam in their eyes, to some of the largest real estate institutions in the world, and everything in between. This gives me a unique and global perspective and allows me to act as a philosopher in the real estate world.
Sorry if I sound too full of myself here, but I am proud that The Real Estate Philosopher has done so well. Opening rates for the articles are now consistently over 50% (not a typo). People don’t always agree with my ideas but they all acknowledge I am thought-provoking and unique.
You can learn more at The Real Estate Philosopher. Also, a few years ago, I put all of my (then) articles into a book called The Real Estate Philosopher’s Guide.
