Pride Poem Number Two

Should I be proud to be a beauty
Or should I be proud to do my duty
Even when I didn’t want to

Should I be proud that I am smart
Or that I have a good heart
Even when I didn’t need to

Should I be proud I made a lot of money
Or that I have the love of my honey
Even when I took her for granted

Should I be proud of my work
Or that I try not to be a jerk
Even when I’m under stress

In the end I take the most pride in getting love and respect from those who want to be with me for no particular reason
